Improving Academic Achievement
Ellensburg School District receives federal Title I, Part A funding to support eligible schools in improving student achievement, especially for students who are furthest from meeting state standards. Title I provides supplemental support in reading, math, and other academic areas.
Title I is a federal program that provides funding to schools with higher percentages of students from low-income families. The goal is to ensure that all students have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education.

Each school operating a Title I Schoolwide Program develops a comprehensive plan to improve teaching and learning across the entire school. These plans are developed with staff and parent input and are available to the public
We believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential for student success. As required by federal law (ESSA §1116), we work closely with families to plan and evaluate our Title I programs.
