Staff have Gemini through their district Google accounts. Here’s what it is, how we use it, and the guardrails that come with it.

Gemini is Google’s AI assistant. It can explain a hard concept, give feedback on a draft, build practice questions, or help plan a study routine. Gemini Notebook (NotebookLM) works alongside it and answers only from the documents you upload, like class notes, a rubric, or a syllabus.

We use AI as a thought partner, not a shortcut. People start the thinking, AI can support it, and people make the final call. Teachers and students decide together where AI fits in each major assignment, and where it doesn’t.
